Bang Bang Story
The director of flicks like ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Salaam Namaste’ is offered the reigns of remaking an average Hollywood action movie (‘Knight and Day’), it makes sense ‘Bang Bang’. Siddharth Anand’s glossy, globe-trotting movie sells itself on its gorgeous lead stars (Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif), inflated budget, a few showpiece dance amounts (Roshan rocks) and a few ‘wow’ action moments (particularly the one within the water).
The Bollywood version is not the same as the initial, aside from the central plot concept of a clever agent joining track of a new innocent girl following a meet-cute inside a Shimla restaurant along with a couple of moments. Roshan plays Rajveer that has apparently stolen the coveted Kohinoor gemstone and it is now attempting to out-fox
Omar, an worldwide criminal performed by Danny Denzongpa. Harleen (Kaif) functions as a bank receptionist, eating tubs of frozen treats in mattress while fantasizing of exotic holidays and romance. A web-based arranged blind date leads to her path crossing with Rajveer. This sets them off on the global adventure because they try to escape the bullets of Omar’s males and also the Indian secret service.
Throughout this journey love blooms and finally the reality regarding the Kohinoor and Rajveer’s plan’s revealed. The storyline is wafer-thin. The onscreen antics barely pop. Yes, you will find a couple of laughs and boy, can Roshan dance. But aside from the eye-chocolate the video lacks bang.
Pavan Malhotra, Javed Jaffery and Vikram Gokhale help out with fittingly exaggerated performances causing you to question sometimes if Anand intended to create a spoof!
However it hardly matters. You’ve Roshan and Kaif. You’ve Roshan exhibiting all of this fluid dance moves. You’ve armchair traveled to Prague, Abu Dhabi, Thailand, London and much more. Did one expect more? It’s usually something whenever a film lives as much as anticipation.
